America Reads is a challenge from the President to all Americans to help children read by the third grade. Millions of America's children are in special need of support, guidance and encouragement to improve reading. RSVP has joined the national effort to improve reading and writing skills of our children. We are utilizing our senior population which also provides intergenerational relationships. Working closely with teachers and other volunteer tutors, these seniors are giving children in their communities the boost they need. |
